With a lot remorse, I’ve to announce the current loss of life of Patrick Menget, who was president of the Survival Worldwide workplace in Paris for a few years. Patrick was a famous anthropologist who labored with the Ikpeng (typically known as Txic\u00e3o) folks in Brazil for a number of a long time in addition to with Indigenous peoples in Mexico, Suriname and Colombia. Sp\u00e9cialiste de parent\u00e9, d\u2019histoire des id\u00e9es et d\u2019anthropologie religieuse, il a enqu\u00eat\u00e9 chez les Tzotzil de Chamula au Chiapas, les Kali\u00f1a au Surinam, les Kogi de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta en Colombie et, surtout dans la r\u00e9gion du Haut-Xingu, au Br\u00e9sil, o\u00f9 il s\u2019est tout particuli\u00e8rement concentr\u00e9 sur une ethnie minoritaire de langue caribe : les Ikpeng. Ses travaux pr\u00e9curseurs sur la couvade, l\u2019onomastique, le chamanisme, les rituels et les troph\u00e9es de guerre ont fait date, inspirant toute une g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019am\u00e9ricanistes dont un panel worldwide s\u2019est constitu\u00e9 pour lui offrir ce liber amicorum amazoniensis.<\/p>\n
